2. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15); have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16); have data erased (Art. 17); restrict processing (Art. 18); receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20); and object to processing (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for us, the Landesbeauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationssicherheit Sachsen-Anhalt (LfD Sachsen-Anhalt). To exercise any of these rights, email support@seominitool.com.
3. Visiting this website
Our web host automatically records technical information for every visit (server log files): IP address, date and time, pages requested, browser type, and referring URL. This happens for every visitor, regardless of cookie consent, and is necessary to operate the site securely (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in stable, secure operation). Log data is not merged with any other data source and is deleted automatically after a short retention period.
4. Cookies and consent
We use a first-party cookie (smt_consent, 6 months) to remember your cookie choice, and localStorage entries (smt.cart.v1, smt.lastOrder.v1) to keep your cart and last order working across visits — both strictly necessary to the site's core function and not consent-gated. Any non-essential cookie (currently: Google Analytics 4, see §5) loads only after you actively opt in through the cookie banner or preferences dialog. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to change your choice at any time.
5. Google Analytics 4
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to understand which pages are useful. This is configured with Consent Mode v2: no analytics data is collected until you opt in, IP addresses are anonymized, and no advertising or remarketing signals are enabled — this is measurement only. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), withdrawable at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Data may be processed on servers outside the EU/EEA; Google provides Standard Contractual Clauses as a transfer safeguard.
6. Contact form and checkout
When you use our contact form or complete a checkout, your browser opens a pre-filled email addressed to support@seominitool.com in your own email application. Your data is not transmitted to a server we operate or to any third party at that point — it stays in your email client until you choose to send it. Once sent, it reaches us as a normal email and is handled like any business correspondence (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, or Art. 6(1)(f) for general enquiries).
7. Cart and order data
Your cart and, after an order, your order confirmation are stored only in your browser's localStorage — not on our servers — so that a page refresh doesn't lose your cart or your confirmation. This data stays on your device and is not accessible to us until you actually send it to us via the checkout's email step.
8. Recipients of data
We do not sell or rent your personal data. Data may be shared with: Google (for Analytics, only after consent, §5); our email provider, to receive messages you send us. We do not use a third-party payment processor at this time — the checkout runs a clearly marked demo payment flow (see Terms) and no payment data is collected or transmitted.
9. Storage duration
We retain enquiry and order correspondence for as long as necessary to handle your request or fulfil a contract, and afterwards only as long as required by German commercial and tax retention obligations (typically 6–10 years for invoice-related records). Server log data is deleted automatically after a short period. Cookie consent is stored for 6 months.
10. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you.
11. Changes to this policy
We update this page when our data practices change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
