Refund & Cancellation

1. Which rules apply to you

If you're a consumer (buying privately, not mainly for your trade or profession), the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal described in §2 applies to you. If you're a business customer (Unternehmer, § 14 BGB — the majority of our customers), no statutory right of withdrawal applies; §3 below (our own cancellation terms) governs instead.

2. Statutory right of withdrawal — consumers only

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract was concluded. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (seominitool, Weststraße 25, 06484 Quedlinburg, Germany, email: support@seominitool.com) of your decision to withdraw by a clear statement (e.g. a letter or email). You may use the model form at the bottom of this page, though it is not mandatory.

If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive notice of your withdrawal, using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

If you have asked us to begin work during the withdrawal period: you must pay us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of services already performed at the point you notify us of your withdrawal, compared to the total scope of services provided for in the contract. Your right of withdrawal ends early once we have fully performed the service, if we began work only after you gave express consent and confirmed your knowledge that you would lose your right of withdrawal upon full performance. At checkout, you are asked to confirm this explicitly if you want work to start immediately.

3. Our own cancellation terms — all customers (adapted from our stated policy)

One-off packages (audits, sprints): free cancellation if requested before we have begun the Calibrate phase on your project. Once work has started, cancellation may carry a fee of up to 50% of the package price, to cover work already completed — mirroring, for project work, the same free-cancellation-window-then-partial-fee principle we apply to scheduled work generally.

Monthly packages (retainers): cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current minimum term (3 or 6 months depending on the package, stated on the package card at purchase), by giving [[CLIENT: notice period — e.g. 30 days]] written notice before the next billing date. Cancelling mid-term does not entitle you to a refund of that month's fee for work already performed, but stops future billing from the effective cancellation date.
